What actually works with a toddler?
Attention span and nap timing rule this trip, not capability. A toddler will tolerate almost anything for a short time and nothing for a long one, and every mistake here is a scheduling mistake.
We publish no minimum ages. Operators set their own, they differ between boats in the same category, and asking is the only way to know. What we can tell you is which formats are structurally short and forgiving.

Standing-depth water and no schedule suit a small child well. Shade and sun are the real constraint, and they depend on the boat.

Complicated, not impossible
The responsible adult is on duty all day and cannot also supervise a toddler closely in the water. That is one adult too few unless there are two of you.
Structurally fine. The departure hour against a bedtime is the actual problem.
Rules this out in practice
A long day on a moving deck asks far more of a toddler than the trip can give back.
Requires open-water confidence a child this age is very unlikely to have.
What to ask before you pay
