Day 1
The anchored activity
Crab Island
The water is flattest early and the flotilla builds through the day, so the same sandbar is a different place at nine and at two.
Why it suits this group
- Most of the value is time spent in the water, which suits a confident group.
- Doing very little is the design of the day rather than a compromise within it.
- The standard block matches the time you have, so you are not paying for hours you cannot use.
If it does not run
- Dolphin cruises — Short and usually in protected water, so it runs in conditions that stop the longer trips. The most useful substitute on this list.
- Private boat charters — A captain can change the plan around conditions in a way a fixed departure cannot. Still a boat, still governed by wind.
Ask the operator about their own weather policy before you assume a cancellation is refundable. Policies differ between operators running the same trip.
The rest of the day stays open. One anchored thing is the plan, not the minimum.
