What this shape gives up
Every itinerary trades something. Naming the trade is more useful than pretending it does not exist.
- Many warm-season features — vendor boats at the sandbar, some cruise schedules — are seasonal and may not be running.
- Swimming in the Gulf is for the hardy. A heated pool is the practical substitute.
- Sunset is much earlier, which reshapes evenings.
