Why the question is answered this way

Again, no figures. The useful question is not what something costs but what the extra buys, and on several of these the honest answer is privacy and nothing else — the water is the same water, and paying more does not make it clearer.

Meets the criterion (2 of 7)

Pontoon rentals
Boat size, block length and group size are all yours to set. Fuel is usually charged separately. You have the boat to yourselves; that is the product.
What this cannot tell you: Add fuel and any deposit before comparing against a captained quote.
Private boat charters
Not a budget option unless the group is large enough to change the arithmetic. Private is the entire product.
What this cannot tell you: Ask whether fuel, cleaning and gratuity sit inside or outside the quote.

Crab Island
Cost is entirely the boat decision — bare rental, captained charter or shared trip give genuinely different structures. Both formats are commonly offered.

Dolphin cruises
Structurally the lowest-commitment way to get a group onto the water at all. Shared decks by default; private options exist.
Fishing charters
Shared party boats and private offshore charters are different products at different levels. Party boats and private charters are both common.
What this cannot tell you: Ask what is separate: fuel, bait, licence, cleaning, gratuity.
Snorkeling
Shared trips are among the more accessible ways onto the water; a private trip costs more without improving visibility. Shared trips are the norm; a private boat is available and buys you time rather than better water.
Sunset cruises
The same sunset is available from a shared deck, a small boat or a private charter. Large shared decks and small private boats both run the same hour, and they are very different evenings.
What this cannot tell you: Sunset from the sand is free and works every evening.
