Morning or Afternoon Dolphin Cruise?

Sighting dolphins is not a scheduling trick, and no honest operator guarantees it at any hour. What the time slot genuinely changes is comfort, water conditions and how likely the trip is to run at all in summer.
On balance, mornings win for most groups — and they win most decisively in July and August.
The short answer
Book the morning if you have any choice: calmer water makes fins easier to spot, the deck is cooler, crowds are thinner, and summer storms have not built yet.
Afternoon is a reasonable second choice outside high summer, and it fits better around a slow start or a late arrival.
